The information in this section is for students who are planning to continue their athletic pursuits in college. If you plan on participating in sports for the Junior College, Division III, Division II or Division I level please see the information below and also the links related to the eligibility for NCAA participation.
Academics First!
When your student-athlete first comes through the doors at Simeon they need to be thinking about their academics. Graduating from Simeon is the first and most important priority for the student-athletes. The goal at Simeon is to have ALL student-athletes maintain the highest grade point average (GPA) possible.
When a student receives their schedule for Freshman year MOST if not ALL of their classes are considered requirements for NCAA. They will have to complete all of their classes just to maintain graduation status. It is important to get off to a good start to help ensure you continue to achieve academic success into your Sophomore, Junior and Senior years.
What is the NCAA Clearinghouse?
NCAA Clearinghouse is the governing body for all of college athletics. The main priority of Clearinghouse is that they review, edit, and decide whether your student-athlete is eligible to play in college. There are differing levels of collegiate athletics and NCAA Clearinghouse covers the divsion I and II levels. Make sure that you are familiar with the different criteria standards and the checklist to become eligible for participating in college-athletics.

Registering for NCAA Clearinghouse
You are only required to register for NCAA Clearinghouse if you are currently looking into playing at a Division I or II school. Please see Mr. Kastner, in the counseling office, if you have any questions.
